Good Samaritans India began in 2008 as a free clinic started by George Rakesh Babu in Secunderabad, and now rescues abandoned, sick and elderly people from the streets, caring for over 150 residents across three homes. It provides medical treatment, meals and end-of-life care with dignified last rites, reunites people with their families where possible, and runs outreach for HIV patients and the transgender community.
