Dr. Prema Dhanraj is the founder of Agni Raksha (1999)[1], an Indian non-profit working on healthcare, women & children and livelihood from Bengaluru.

Agni Raksha

Agni Raksha is a Bengaluru nonprofit founded in 1999 by Dr Prema Dhanraj, herself a burn survivor, to provide holistic rehabilitation for burn survivors from poor families, especially women and children. Its work covers medical treatment coordination and income-generation support for survivors, and has broadened over the years into sexual-health awareness, slum-focused child development, and social-inclusion programmes for other marginalised groups in the city.

  • Since 2006, the lives of more than 4,000 MSMs and their families have been touched through social inclusion programmes
