Dr. Kiran Bedi is the founder of Navjyoti India Foundation (1987)[1], an Indian non-profit working on education, livelihood, women & children and environment from New Delhi.
Navjyoti India Foundation
Navjyoti India Foundation was established in 1987 and formally registered in 1988 by Dr Kiran Bedi, India's first woman IPS officer and a Magsaysay Award recipient, along with fellow officials, with the aim of preventing crime through social development. It runs child education built on a Shiksha-Sanskar-Skills model, skill development for youth and adults, women's empowerment through vocational and financial literacy training, and environment work on water conservation, sanitation and solar energy.
