Dr. Kiran Bedi is the founder of Navjyoti India Foundation (1987)^[1], an Indian non-profit working on education, livelihood, women & children and environment from New Delhi.

Navjyoti India Foundation was established in 1987 and formally registered in 1988 by Dr Kiran Bedi, India's first woman IPS officer and a Magsaysay Award recipient, along with fellow officials, with the aim of preventing crime through social development. It runs child education built on a Shiksha-Sanskar-Skills model, skill development for youth and adults, women's empowerment through vocational and financial literacy training, and environment work on water conservation, sanitation and solar energy.
