Dr. Barbara Nath-Wiser is the founder of Nishtha[1], an Indian non-profit working on healthcare, education and women & children from Sidhbari.
Nishtha
Nishtha Trust was set up in 1995 in Rakkar village, Sidhbari, in the Himalayan foothills of Himachal Pradesh. It runs a rural health clinic and community health outreach, education and computer training programmes, and environmental initiatives, focused on the welfare of farming and shepherd families, with special attention to women and children.
Nishtha reports the following, on its own site:
