BV Parameswara Rao is the founder of Bhagavatula Charitable Trust (BCT) (1976)[1], an Indian non-profit working on rural & agriculture, education, disability and livelihood from Visakhapatnam.
Bhagavatula Charitable Trust (BCT)
Founded in 1976 by Gandhian Dr. B.V. Parameswara Rao, Bhagavatula Charitable Trust has spent five decades transforming villages of Visakhapatnam district from Yellamanchili and Haripuram. Its pilots in women's self-help groups and rural banking became national models; today it runs the district's only ICAR-accredited Krishi Vigyan Kendra, a government-affiliated ITI, residential schools for tribal children and inclusive programs for persons with disabilities.
