Brinda Crishna is the co-founder of Shishu Sarothi (1987)[1] and VAANI Deaf Children's Foundation (2005)[2], Indian non-profits working on disability, human rights and education from Guwahati.

Shishu Sarothi provides rehabilitation, education and early intervention for children with multiple disabilities in Northeast India. It also runs a Disability Law Unit working on rights advocacy.

VAANI Deaf Children's Foundation
VAANI, established in 2005, works across several Indian states to ensure deaf and hard-of-hearing children are not left behind, through early identification, customised education, family empowerment and professional training, run through Sadhan Resource Centres.
