Mumbai Grahak Panchayat

Established on Gudhi Padwa in 1975, Mumbai Grahak Panchayat is a voluntary consumer organisation famous for its unique monthly collective grocery distribution system that serves tens of thousands of member families across Maharashtra's west coast. MGP also fights consumer cases, advocates on housing (RERA) and depositor protection, and has represented Indian consumers at UNCTAD.

Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat

Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat grew out of the Pune consumer movement started in 1974 by Bindumadhav Joshi's volunteers as the Yuvak Mahamandal Janata Grahak Sangh. Today the organisation works in more than 25 states and nearly 200 districts, educating consumers about their rights, campaigning on fair pricing and MRP reform, and guiding complainants through India's consumer redressal system.
