Bhupendra Banchhor is the co-founder of Saathi Samaj Sevi Sanstha (1993)[1], an Indian non-profit working on livelihood, tribal welfare and arts & culture from Kondagaon.
Saathi Samaj Sevi Sanstha
Saathi Samaj Sevi Sanstha was established under the Madhya Pradesh Society Act in 1993 at Kumharpara near Kondagaon in the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh. Started by ceramic engineer Bhupesh Tiwari, it began by organising Bastar's terracotta, bell-metal and wrought-iron artisans and now also runs health and nutrition outreach and education work in conflict-affected blocks. In 2004 it set up a middle school at Kumharpara based on Gandhi's Nai Talim pedagogy.
