Balasaheb Gangadhar Kher is the founder of Kherwadi Social Welfare Association (Yuva Parivartan) (1928)[1], an Indian non-profit working on livelihood and education from Mumbai.

Kherwadi Social Welfare Association was set up in Mumbai in 1928 and today runs Yuva Parivartan, a livelihood and skill-development movement for education-deprived youth across 18 states. It provides vocational courses in trades such as wiring, hospitality and healthcare services, entrepreneurship training and job-placement support, alongside a One Guntha Project helping landless Adivasi women grow kitchen gardens for food security and income.

Kherwadi Social Welfare Association (Yuva Parivartan) reports the following, on its own site:
