Akula Padmavathi is the founder of Humana People to People India[1], an Indian non-profit working on education, healthcare, livelihood and environment from New Delhi.
Humana People to People India
Humana People to People India (HPPI) was registered as a not-for-profit company under section 25 of the Companies Act on 21 May 1998. It runs the Kadam bridge-education programme for out-of-school children, the NeTT student-teacher training programme, girls' education, TB and HIV/AIDS health programmes, women's entrepreneurship and community development work. HPPI publishes annual reports, audited financial statements and foreign contribution reports on its website.
Humana People to People India reports the following, on its own site:
- In 2024-25 HPPI implemented over 100 projects across 17 states, together with more than 1.1 million people in rural and urban communities.
- Through the Kadam Programme in 2024-25, 145,904 out-of-school and in-school children were reached with the support of 7,785 teachers and education volunteers.
- HPPI's health initiatives reached over 300,000 people in 2024-25.
