Shobha Menon is the founder of Nizhal (2005)[1], an Indian non-profit working on environment from Chennai.

Nizhal

Nizhal ('shade' in Tamil) is a Chennai-based trust registered in September 2005 to promote concern for trees in the city. It runs community greening drives, tree walks, a tree helpline and urban forest stewardship at sites like Kotturpuram, mobilising volunteers of all ages to plant and protect native trees.
