Pratibha Pai is the founder of Project Chirag (2010)[1], an Indian non-profit working on rural & agriculture and livelihood from Mumbai.
Project Chirag
Project Chirag is the flagship programme of the Mumbai-based Chirag Rural Development Foundation, registered in 2011 after starting as a student initiative at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics. It brings solar electrification to villages without grid access and has since expanded into an Integrated Village Development Model covering water, education, sanitation and livelihoods.
Project Chirag reports the following, on its own site:
- 302,254 lives impacted
- 32,127 homes illuminated
- 922 villages transformed
