Spandan Samaj Seva Samiti is a grassroots organisation founded in 2002 by Seema and Prakash Michael, working among the Korku tribe of Khandwa district in Madhya Pradesh. Its programmes tackle child malnutrition, food security through community grain banks, and the preservation of the Korku language and culture.

Spandan Samaj Seva Samiti reports the following, on its own site:

  • 997 children recovered from malnutrition at home through community-based care
  • 373 families received 5323 kg of grains from grain banks during critical months
  • 600 families cultivated backyard nutrition gardens
